My name is Ciro Gallo, I am 28 years old and in 2020 I graduated with honors in Computer Science (class L-31) at the University of Naples Federico II with the thesis "Sentiment analysis using the support of an artificial neural network". Having started working as a software developer a few months before I graduated, I have now totaled 6 years of work experience in the industry.
Passionate about personal finance, music lover, and chronic optimist, I make positivity and proactivity the constant mark of my actions in life and work.
Focus
My AI profile goes beyond daily tool use: over the years I have experimented with and adopted several AI CLIs and IDE integrations, in particular GitHub Copilot, Claude and Opencode, to really understand how they change the way software is designed, written and maintained. Today I take that experience further than being a simple user: I work to integrate AI directly into products, workflows and tools built for both clients and development teams. What interests me most is turning models into concrete capabilities: speeding up complex tasks, improving developer productivity, making processes more efficient and building solutions where AI is not a showcase effect but a real lever of value.
As part of a company-wide initiative to promote AI tool adoption I serve as AI Adoption Expert, a point of reference for dozens of colleagues across several development teams integrating AI into company processes. One concrete example: an AI agent I built cut the time to implement a human task for a digital procedure from about 2 days to about 30 minutes.

Claude Certified Architect Professional certification, achieved on October 6, 2026 (verify my badge).
SaaS platform that acts as an AI-driven accelerator for designing digital administrative procedures, strongly built around RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation).
Skills built both for personal productivity and for the whole team's, shared with colleagues to streamline development processes.
Agents designed vertically around specific domains and internal knowledge bases, giving the team a CLI, and therefore models, already tailored to the domain.
An AI pipeline, an orchestrator, that considerably speeds up migrating procedures from a legacy system to a modern enterprise SaaS platform.
I am a full stack web developer with a preference for the backend. My go-to stack for web and cloud native:
Angular
Postgres / Oracle / MongoMy main language, the one I know best.
OCP Java SE 17 certification, achieved on 01/02/2023. (verify my badge).

PythonI also develop in Python, from my pre-graduation internship, in the following areas:
Machine learning
Web scraping
Data analysis
Backend developmentMy preferred architecture combines microservices and microfrontends:
MICROSERVICES
MICROFRONTENDSEnterprise middleware and integration ecosystems I have worked with:
Camel plain and integrated into Spring Boot; migrating legacy flows to Camel K, for lightweight Kubernetes-native integrations.
API Manager, Identity Server and especially Micro Integrator as an ESB, handling decoupling and orchestration in a pre-existing enterprise architecture.
Languages and frameworks are just means; architecture, patterns and principles remain and make the difference.
Throughout my career I have had the opportunity to work within the following areas.

In health-tech, I have worked on telemedicine and remote monitoring projects for patients with contagious (e.g. COVID) or chronic diseases. This gave me the opportunity to learn and apply healthcare-specific standards and protocols such as HL7v2, HL7 FHIR and DICOM.

In ag-tech, I have worked on projects delivering digital administrative processes, such as agricultural fuel allocation requests. This gave me the chance to work with the BPMN 2.0 standard and workflow engines such as Camunda.

In the Public Administration space, I have worked on platforms for digitizing and delivering administrative processes, such as registering with the regional register of legal entities and applying for university tuition benefits. This experience deepened my understanding of complex workflow design, digital administrative process management, and integration with public-sector systems, using standards such as BPMN 2.0 and workflow engines such as Camunda.
Thinking about the future, as a personal finance enthusiast, one of the areas I would love to work in is definitely fintech.
Throughout my career I have worked on numerous projects deployed for several clients, mainly within the Italian Public Administration. My role has never been limited to development: I also write the Helm charts for deployment, the GitHub workflows and the Jenkins pipelines, taking care of CI/CD end-to-end myself.
ASL Foggia
Integrated chronic-care management system for remote monitoring of chronic patients. Rolled out across all 8 health districts and 4 hospitals of ASL Foggia, it played a key role in the local health authority's digital transformation, leading to the activation of the regional Telemedicine infrastructure.
ASL Foggia
System integrated with the national Electronic Health Record, for digitizing, archiving and accessing patients' clinical data.
Regione Lombardia
System integrated with the Italian Ministry of Health for the surveillance and monitoring of infectious diseases.
Regione Puglia, Regione Sardegna
Multitenant SaaS platform for designing and delivering complex digital administrative procedures with a low-code approach, deployed for several clients to manage hundreds of thousands of cases. The platform is now evolving from low-code to no-code, driven by AI.

Computer science is a discipline I am deeply in love with and will serve, feeling honored to do so, for the rest of my life.

The reason?
I find that computer science is the perfect combination of rigor and creativity: it lets me be extremely creative without losing the certainties of mathematics and logic. When I was starting out I saw it only as a creative process, but through my studies I realized it is much more than that: producing software is not just art or just science, it is truly an industry. Another thing I appreciate is how pervasive it is: it applies to virtually every field imaginable, which gives those who practice it the chance to keep innovating and reinventing themselves (with a lot of effort). That does mean I will never stop studying, but to me that is an advantage and a reason to keep improving.
